To plan you next activation we recommend looking at the BunkerDashboard for maps including pins to show previous activations and unactivated bunkers (ATNO – All Time New Ones). If you are planning your fist activation you may find the guide on this site (see top menu – coming soon) helpful.
If you prefer not to enter all the data in the form above manually you can use the blue auto-fill button and your ADIF will be parsed (read) by our software interpreter.
✅ If the ADIF is in the expected format the boxes will all be filled out for you automatically. You should check everything is correct, manually change anything that is not, and then press click/touch ‘Submit’
⚠️If the ADIF log is not correctly parsed please read the compatibility guide at the bottom of this page.
The import and autofill assumes you are using a standardized ADIF file especially regarding which ADIF fields are used for for bunkers. Note: there is no dedicated or permanent ADIF field allocated for Bunkers.
The standard solution is to use the following fields:
SIG – WWBOTA (not essential but useful to include). Not SIG has nothing to do with SIGnal strengths in this context, it refers to ‘Special Interest Group’.
my_sig_info – your bunker(s). Where there is more than one bunker (eg. a 2 fer) they should be listed seperating each bunker by just a comma, easy reference needs both the bunker prefix and the 4digit number
sig_info – the other station’s bunker(s), in the case of activators this means for a B2B QSO.
Examples of correct bunker references:
✅ B/G-1000
✅ B/GM-0028
Examples of incorrect bunker references
❌BG-1000
❌ B/GM-028
Example of correct multiple bunkers:
✅ B/G-1000,B/G-1001,B/G-1002
Examples of incorrect multiple bunkers:
❌ B/G-1000,1001,1002
❌ B/G – 1000, B/G – 1001 , B/G – 1002
UKBOTA recommend Ham2K Portable Logger for activators – this software will create a properly structured ADIF file.
A note on paper logs
Digital logging is not required to enjoy UKBOTA. Some activators and hunters prefer to use paper logs. Many of them later transfer their log data to BunkerBase to take advantage of its powerful features.
